Regional FDPA Events

New this 2025-2026 Year, FDEO is hosting two Regional events in order to outreach to more schools.  Schools will have the option of which Regional Event they would like to attend and may opt to be invited to State FDPA should they desire. This event can be used for the Florida Fine Arts Seal.

The Regional Florida Dance Performance Assessment is open to NDEO members in any public, private, or studio dance school. Students should be 6th-12th graders, with the intent of receiving authentic assessment in Technical Proficiency (Etudes learned and rehearsed ahead of time), Movement Acquisition (movement given and repeated on demand, on site), and Ensemble Performance (3-12 minute piece rehearsed ahead of time, no props/costumes; choreography can be student, guest or faculty produced). Teachers may opt to have their school adjudicated at either the proficient (beginner), accomplished (intermediate), or advanced level based on their student’s average hours of technical dance training. Schools may bring 5-20 students for FDPA.
