FDPA INFORMATION SHEET
In an effort to align ourselves with other arts organizations in the state, FDEO has laid the groundwork for a day of performance assessment with statewide participation at the high school level. This is an opportunity for schools to be assessed in three different categories. They will be adjudicated in these categories and earn a rating based on their performance. The ratings will include superior, excellent, good, fair, and poor. Requested information on the application will be the total average hours of dance studies in and out of the school per week.
Categories of Assessment
Technical Proficiency
- Schools will be adjudicated on their performance of a preset phrase demonstrating their technical proficiency and skill sets. The DVD will be sent out following the January deadline.

Movement Acquisition
- Schools will be adjudicated on their performance of phrases that will be taught on-site. A ballet and a modern phrase will both be taught.
